June 2025 Spaying and Neutering Project

In June 2025, Thai Tails proudly hosted our second annual spay, neuter, and vaccination event in collaboration with KMITL (King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang) and the Chumphon local government. Thanks to the dedication of volunteer veterinarians, KMITL veterinary students, and our generous donors, we were able to spay or neuter over 100 stray dogs and cats, marking a significant step in controlling the stray population, and provide life-saving vaccinations to protect them from preventable diseases.

This year’s event further strengthened our commitment to serving all stray animals, not just dogs. After discovering in 2024 that many cats in the region also need care, we officially expanded our mission to include both cats and dogs, and this year reaffirmed the importance of that decision!

None of this would have been possible without the support of our amazing community of skilled and compassionate veterinary teams, and every single donor who helped fund supplies and equipment.  Your contributions went directly toward sterile surgical tools, vaccines, and other essential resources that ensured each procedure was done safely and effectively.

We also want to specifically thank the hardworking KMITL students assisting at the event. This initiative provides hands-on experience for KMITL students in animal care, fostering future professionals in veterinary and animal welfare fields.
