Thank you so much for your support in funding our Thai Teeth project! The Thai Teeth Project was conducted from March 24–27, 2026 in Chumphon Province, Thailand by the Petchsuwan Shepherd Foundation (ThaiTails.org) in collaboration with Langsuan Hospital and a team of volunteer dentists from the United States. The project was generously supported by Smoothgroove Chicago and Willie McIntosh. A total of 188 students from Wat Prasatnikorn School and Suansriwittaya School received comprehensive services, including dental check-ups, proper toothbrushing instruction, and oral health education.
The results revealed that 45.74% of students had cavities in their permanent teeth, highlighting an urgent need for access to quality dental care. This project not only addressed immediate treatment and prevention needs but also established a foundation for long-term oral health awareness and healthy habits among the youth.
The success of this initiative demonstrates the power of collaboration and underscores the critical importance of expanding access to basic healthcare services in underserved communities. We encourage individuals, organizations, and the Thai community to actively support and sustain initiatives like this, to ensure a healthier future for children across Thailand.
